FUCHS

Bohuslav Fuchs (1895–1972) was one of the most important representatives of Brno modernism. He advocated consistent simplicity, lightness, and the connection of architecture with city life. His buildings – from the Avion Hotel and Zeman Café to private villas and pavilions at the Brno Exhibition Centre – are notable for their rational layout, lightness of construction, and openness to public space. Thanks to these principles, Fuchs became a key creator of Brno's modern appearance.

The light metal Fuchs brooch therefore bears white colour and a distinctive shape, combining a rectangle with one "organic" semicircular end.
